    Default Thunderbird since tornado

Has anyone been catching anything since the tornado went through? I've been out several times and it seems to be extremely slow.

I'm planning on hitting tbird Wed and/or Thurs. Hoping its settled some from the storm and fishing back to normal! Does anyone know how a storm like that affects the fish?

    Default Action Yesterday

My two fishing buds and I caught 67 crappie on structure in 12 ft water, not big, but we keep anything over 6 inches. They taste just as good as a 14 inch one. We also trolled out by the water plant and caught 5 giant sand bass and two 4 1/2 lb blue cats. All and all a nice morning mid afternoon of fishing. Surprised about all the boats out and mostl left by 1 pm.

Bud, thanks for reporting. Great to hear of someone doing really good. Can you let us know what bait you where catching the different species on? Thinking of hitting up Thunderbird Fri or Sat. Will report back if I do.

you guys fishing on the weekends, keep in mind that Draper is closed for two years...that means all the jet skis and skiers from there will be joining the hundreds of jet skis that normally bless thunderbird.....i pretty much only fish during the week.

    Default Baits

Chuck we were fishing minnows in 12 ft water on structure for the crappie, altho while it was slow I did catch about 4 or 5 on jigs. We trolled for the sandy's and blue's. Used deep diving bomber A's in fire tiger color. Sandy's came from the flats just south of the old river channel in about 18 ft water. Started crappie fishing about 9 and trolling about 12:30 and quit about 2:30. Good luck
