I can not remember how many times in the past 30+ years I have sworn off buying minnows. The only time I feel minnows are better than jigs is when night fishing. You have to go with what YOU believe in. To me I enjoy catching a few crappie on jigs, than a big bunch of crappies on minnows. You just can not beat that feeling of a crappie taking a jig.
Its an even better feeling when the jig head and plastic body are homemade. It was such a nice feeling when I caught my first fish on plastic I had poured myselfQuote:
