Big George told me about the technique a year ago and told me how to fish it. I took a couple from Weatherford yesterday and we spider-rigged for most of the day, then the last hour I showed them how to long-line jigs. We were using 1/16th ounce jig heads with bobby garland strollers pulling them 40 ft behind the boat fishing 3-4ft deep in water that was 5-15ft, trolling 1.0mph. We were able able catch a dozen or so with this technique. I think if I would have found a bank with several points on it we would have been in fish the entire time. This is a very good way to catch suspended post-spawn crappie. I was showing them this technique because I think is is great for kids, you can put them in the back of your boat and let them have a blast reeling in all the fish!
