I am going to try and catch a big crappie. Went today and caught one that weight 2lb. 10 oz. was 15 inch. long got a pick of the fish with date on picture. had it weighed at Baitmaster bait shop in wagoner. My son is going to try and log the fish on the co and send it to ok.cdc.:):):) Caught the crappie at toppers area Ft.Gibson Lake.

I would say it would if it had a date with it. Nice Slab
Hey J.E.
Was that a black crappie? I seem to catch more blacks, and generally bigger ones, on Gibson than anywhere else. Just not a lot of them!

Boy Lip you have started a little competitive fishing contest and we have had some guys respond. I love it, I had 2 fish sunday that were 15 1/2 inches and 15 3/4 inches didn't weigh them though. I figure they were a little over 2 pounds. I can't wait to see some of the fish put in this contest, Oolagah, Kaw, Gibson, Texoma, ect. all hold monsters. Farm ponds and city lakes sometimes hold the freaks. Both state records in Oklahoma come from farm ponds. EB
