Todd put on a good informative seminar last night at Rose State College. 2 Hours of solid tips and techniques. 2 hours just flew by. Well worth the price. 2 more crappie seminars yet to come.
Very good report!
Reaper, Where Fish come to Fry
When and where are the other going to be?
Where can I find schedule for these kind of things? Maybe I can attend some next year.
George, were you talking to Mike Taylor about the Menhaden oil after the class? I wish I'd have known which was you, I'd have loved to introduce myself and my son.
Yes, that was me talking to Mike Taylor afterwards about the menhaden oil. He did not appear to be too thrilled about my statement. I paid $5.00 for a quart many years ago for the menhaden. I have given several flip top bottles of that oil away over the years. I am just about out of it. The fish don't smell, they taste. Chad Ferguson was promoting fairly hard the first night but put on a fairly good seminar talking about catfish. Todd Huckabee put on the best seminar, as always. I know his sister and her daughter real well. Todd's seminars rarely change, because the truth is always the truth. He is extremely knowledgeable on crappie and other fish as that is all he has done. People bash him some because they are jealous. They don't have his expertise. Mike Taylor and Greg Robinson were, in my opinion, just selling tackle all night on both occasions . I would have much rather heard Mark McGuire or Brian Young. They would have put on a "meat and potatoes" seminar and people would have learned something. Just my $.02.

Anyone that enjoys seminars should plan on the 2018 Grizzly Jig show. Dave and I sat thru just about three whole days of back to back Crappie seminars from some of the most well known crappie anglers and tournament pros. Todd was there and I enjoyed listening to him (again.) It was a down to earth, ask any question type fellowship and was free (except for the gas and motel, of course - we got a great rate and stayed where many of the pros stayed.) One of the best catered BBQs (again free) I've been to and I've never seen that many donuts at one place at one time as in the mornings. You hear many different techniques and everyone talks about their favorite products but nobody was there to sell rods. "Brooms and Mops" was mentioned alot, tho'. For a dedicated crappie angler its is a once in a lifetime event.

Thanks IkenI - I was wondering about that show. I figured that it would be a 4 star session. There were too many top notch people giving seminars. Wish I could have gone.
