Default Best crappie lake in Oklahoma?

Well, it's 21.0 degrees F right now and I'm getting cabin fever. So, I was looking at a state map for new places to fish and am just amazed at how fortunate we are here in Oklahoma! I think, if I fished a different place every week, I'd never get to all of them. I've seen a lot of our lakes but, haven't crappie fished many as I became a crappieholic while living south of the Red River. I love the beauty of our lakes in the eastern half of the state in particular but, they are a pretty good haul from Ardmore.
So, I thought I'd see what you other addicts think.
What is the best crappie lake in our beautiful state? Which one produces the most fish and which one produces the largest fish?
If you have a lake you fish on a regular basis due to location or whatever, don't just name it because you are familiar with it. I'd like to know, from actual data and/ or what you've heard, are our best places to fish for crappie.

Anyway, if, like me you are bored to tears, let me know what you think.

Bob, IMHO you're not going to get the kind of response I think your post is suggesting for the simple reason there are too many lurkers on here. A few start naming some lakes with good size fish and before you know it, you're playing bumper boats or rod tip to rod tip in the case of fishing docks. maybe you should edit your post to have them PM you a response and see it that helps. (then call me)

Crappiepappa, you are probably right. I was just bored and trying to get something going. If you notice, there are very few new responses to any post on here and it's been like that for weeks.

I have only crappie fished Grand lake and Kaw lake. Kaw had some giant crappie but I have only gotten to fish it a couple times so I can't really speak for it. Grand on the other hand has been good to me. I've become comfortable enough with my electronics that I usually find and catch my limit on almost any given day across most of the lake. Its not a lake known for giants like Kaw but its got plenty of crappie to keep me satisfied and since its the only lake I get to fish I guess I would consider it my favorite

Also kinda depends on what your wanting, Myself I love catching big crappie and If Im lucky enough to get into several then that's a plus, but Kaw is my back yard, and IMO you would be hard pressed to catch better numbers of 1lb fish any where other than here. We are very fortunate to have several very good crappie lakes in OK.

The best crappie spot I fish is a 10 acre private watershed lake that regularly produces 14 - 14+ inch black crappie.

Depends on what season and what year. Every season and every year seems to bring something new than the last.
