    Default Ranger 393 v

I'm heading over to look at a Dual Console Ranger 393 v that desperately needs a LOT of attention. The owner wants it gone. I might have to trade him some Crappie filets and some waypoints for titles. The lower unit on the Johnson 150hp is toast and the head is supposed to be good.]

I think I'd just wet myself if he told me to get it out of there and sign over the titles.

Just a opinion, I fished out of a 390 in the late 80's. Best fishing hull ranger ever built. Huge front deck. If the transom is good it would be worth a repower with newer motor. Sure hope you get a deal like that on it.

Nip, am waiting for owner to consider the offer There's a couple of more I've got my eye on and one is ready to deal. The one I'm talking about here will take a lot of hours and approximately $2,500 give or take to get it in decent but not fancy shape. Papa even has a line on a Skeeter for me. The USS-POS will have to go up for sale for me to afford materials needed. I'm holding off one deal in case the 393v works out. The family are good people and live just down the road.

As for pictures, if I begin this venture, I'll take several before and after posting them when complete. It's like a grizzly crime scene right now, it's just something you don't want to see. Matter of fact, would probably bring Mark to tears. But I have a debt to Redge that needs tended to before I do much of anything.

I might be able to help a wanna be fixer-upper here shortly.

My Ranger is needing a new home.

What you got Dennis? I haven't heard from the 393v owner yet. Got a line on a 395v freebie today so I might have to take a little trip to have a look. Putting off the Skeeter guy for now, but even got a line on another Skeeter. I'm hoping to end up with the best of the neglected. Leaning towards the 393v mainly because I've seen it and dragging it home would not be a problem, even if there were problems because it's so close.

Well, I messed up in describing the boat. It's actually a 373v. So it's 2' shorter. Story of my life. Located a lower unit today. USS-POS is as good as gone thanks to Dinobot. She's already ready for the ride to Sapalupa. Got to figure out wiring mess at front of boat. Will be gutting the rear compartment for a thorough cleaning including both tanks so I can clean and flush them. While in there will be putting in new fuel lines. What's the difference in the 373 and 375 Dennis? I might could use some parts OR your boat might be in better shape. Call me if you like, number is in my signature.
