what would be be best time of the year to find a used boat although I'm just looking right now. I'm looking for a 12' boat I would like a wider boat with room for standing up and moving around with out feeling like I'm going to take a swim I've been looking at the J12' Carolina skiff but there hard to find plus a brand new or used one isn't cheap either
thanks Crappie Josh aka C.J.
always ready to go fishing
Dunno about the best time of year. Check out Weldbilt jon boats. They have a 1248 all weld jon.

For around $1550 you can snag a 12' x 48" with 48" bow casting deck, center seat removed, two seat bases and a trolling motor mount. You can also upgrade it to a .1 hull for another $300. Another $1000 for a trailer. Both places told me they would not charge tax for out of state purchases.
As previously mentioned, I went with a Weldcraft which was a little more but I got the 21" transom whereas Weldbilt only offered 16" transom. Boat place called today and said the manufacturer stated it would be another 2 weeks. As soon as I bring it home I'll post some pics of it for you to check out.
