Default registered ks boat in oklahoma reservoirs...

I live in se ks and would like to take my boat to Oklahoma and do some fishing. In addition to the out of state fishing license what does a person need to do to be legal? I have called Oklahoma fish and game and they gave me numbers to the "Lake Patrol". So far that has been a dead end (no response). I left a voice mail at 918-847-2001 but haven't heard back. As Oklahoma is much closer to me than some of the lakes in Kansas I would like to venture down, especially in the winter months.

    any input would be appreciated...

    drifter...welcome.
Your are fine with your Kansas registration as long as you are here for 60 days or less. Here is a link to the safety rules as the OHP does inspect boats frequently,

Well it looks like I need a boater safety card...I have been stopped and check on the lakes here in Kansas and that never was an issue. Don't mind going thru the hoops to get one but from what I can tell if I get stopped by either a game wardern or shore patrol in Oklahoma I need to have one. Going thru the motions this weekend and have learned a few things...not that I will ever use some of them (PWC) to old for that...lol.

It's a requirement for youngsters (12-15 yrs) and recommended for all others, but not required. Here's some more info -
