I use one of the little cases now when I'm out on the water. My story was I dropped one out of my shirt pocket leaning down to "lip" a bass and managed to grab it by luck only. Sadly, the near new Iphone was dead. I went to the store and they of course told me that water damage was not covered in my warranty. I hummed and hawed, begged and pleaded to no avail and finally plunked down the cash for a new one. Came home and noticed water running across yard by water meter. Ran over to it and leaned down to turn the water valve off and Yep, you're guessin it. Brand new phone from the store went right in the drink! Sent my wife back in this time and she was able to get a replacement from the store.

The last time I fished Eufaula it was full of junk after the water came up 4 feet with the rain. Somehow something got stuck in the live well outflow drain and I was unknowingly pumping water into the boat behind me while I was fishing. I looked back and saw water coming up through the drain and my wallet floating in the bottom of the boat, phone not floating just beside it. I tried to save the phone before trying to save the boat. The boat and I made it, the phone did not survive.
