    Default Mannford Fire Victims

Ok, first off Doug and Craig I know this has nothing to do with fishing and I should be posting this in the off topic, but I feel things don't get looked at as much in the off topic forum, so I am asking if we could leave this on the main Oklahoma forum a week or two. Then you can delete it.

Now back to what this is for. I have family in Mannford who lost everything in the wildfires and are in need of some things. I took some furniture up to them today that I took out my house and we bought new. They are in need of bed room furniture like dressers, night stands, lamps, ect. They have beds that were given out by a local mattress company. Plus they need pots and pans, plates, glasses, silverware. As far as clothes they are good with that.

So if you have any used furniture that you are not using and is good shape and don’t mind lending a helping hand to fellow Oklahoman it would be greatly appreciated. Just pm me if you have something you can help out with and I will come pick it up or we can meet somewhere for me to pick it up. These people are good folks, but are simply over whelmed with all that they lost.

If I end up with more than they can use I will find some more families to give any items to.

    Thank You,
    Jamie Caudle

I am so sorry, but I have made a typo in my request. As you read the above sentence it should say: I have a family in Mannford who lost everything in the wildfires and are in need of some things.

All of my family are just fine. I guess I should have proof read it before posting. Again sorry folks.

I've be dealing with CJ through PMs since he posted this. I'm not in a position to offer much, but I have offered something the family can use until they can get something better. I sure would have thought others on this board would have at least tried to do something to help. I'm disappointed. He's not looking for top notch items or great condition, just something that's working to help them get by. So if you've been in the market for something new, and the item you're going to replace could be given away, please contact CJ and get something worked out. Thanks!

Just so everyone knows, Crappie Jiggin meant to say in his original post that he had A family. He's doing this for someone not related to him. He's come up with items of his own and neighbors then has delivered them from the Gore area to the Manford area at his expense. He's come to Oologah dragging a trailer to pick up things from me at his expense. Please donate what you can. The items he's collecting are destined for more than one family that was affected.

Thank you Craig for chimming in here. I have located a family that is going to take your dinning room table and chairs. I plan on delivering it to them next weekend. Again thank you so much for helping your fellow Oklahomans out.

Thank you Mark. Let me inform you of what I am going through. I have been locating furniture and picking it up, then I have to locate a family that is in need of that particular type of furniture. Many of the families who have lost their homes simply can't afford a place yet and are staying with family members till they get approved for a loan or can afford to buy something. Most families didn't have insurance and that is what is making things more difficult for them to afford a place. So, what I have been doing is collecting and storing items at my house which is becoming full and then once I get a family in need then I deliver. It's not like I can just take it up there and drop it off somewhere's and they pick it up.

My fishing has come to a hault because of this and although I know I can't help everyone I can make a difference for a few. My 80 yr old parents are the ones who are asking at church who needs and what their needs are so please bare with us on getting any donated items to the families who need them. It just takes time. I do and will promise you this all items received will be given to a family in need.
