Thread: Boat steering problems?

I just put a new motor on my v hull fishing boat. It is a 35 hp Evinrude. The motor runs great, but when I try to turn the tiller steering to the right - it is very hard to turn. It turns to the left easy, and only gets really tight at or near full throttle. Anyone have any idea why it would take a Gorilla to turn in only one direction? Why is this a problem? Thanks for any tips...

I've never heard of a problem like yours, but, it could be something simple. Post your question in the iboats forum. I bet someone has an answer for you. Good luck!!
