The COE has closed all their ramps on Oologah and are planning to allow the lake to rise another 5' to about 20' above normal in an attempt to ease some of the flooding issues downstream ( according to their office staff there by the dam) . I put in yesterday at Vada trying to find some places to take my Colorado grandsons next week but never got bit. Went home and got started on repairing my spillway which blew out Saturday night, dumping 20 tons of rock and 3 acre feet of water in my lower pasture. I'm starting by constructing a temporary fix with 3600 lbs of sand bags until that swampy area drys out enuf to begin the bigger project- maybe August. If anybody notices that they have reopened the ramps let us know- I don't want to launch in that debris field/ Talala Creek again!

You don't think "ol tetnis" the catfish went do you?
Is Allens Point the only good ramp now?
Nothing really wrong with the Vada ramp. Just that I had to push through about 40' of floating logs and trash once I launched. Then when I put the boat on the trailer I pushed a 4" log under the boat and on the trailer. When my son in law pulled the truck forward that log went CRUNCH! and I thought something real bad had happened but no big deal.

See if you can't get with TC when your Grandsons are in for at least a half day. A day of those Cats will give them a memory of a lifetime. TC gets another wonderful feather in his cap and Gramps becomes cool.
Reaper, Where Fish come to Fry
What do you mean BECOMES cool? I think most of us would RENT grandkids if it would get us on a cat hunt with Mr. TC.
