Craig its the same on Eufaula and Gibson now with the crappie being scattered. Its the time of year and still in a summer time pattern. Occasionally I catch several from a pile of wood or rock but not often. You do not have to beg them to bite though, and if they are there they will jump all over your jig or minner. You have to do lot of moving from wood to wood or rock which may be the case but they are there for the taking. The fish I have been catching are on the transition from shallow to deep water on the shallow side in 6' to 12' DOW. As you said when the water starts to cool it will pick up and those elusive crappie will most certainly be relating to wood and rock and be much easier to fill the LW.....Good Luck buddy....Ranger
