If you look back through some of the reports on this thread, there are a few reports from below the dam. Unfortunately, they all said it was slow and the water down there is really clear. In a normal year, it would be pretty good right now. I guess having the gates closed for a few months kept the fish from moving upstream as early as they normally would. The COE report shows they're letting out 8,000 cfs. today. That should eventually get some fish up there.

has anyone stuck a pattern on these fish on Oologah. Hoping to get out this weekend. I've heard from some the spawn pattern is working in far shallows in the creeks. But what about the main lake..are they still in winter holding pattern or have they started staging in the creek arms or have they started bedding...just trying to figure out where to go. I haven't been on the lake in a few weeks, not sure what the water temps are like which indicate what the Crappie are doing this time of year.
    I fear no fish

Concentrate on 8' of water and shallower. It's almost about to hit full swing. Some are being caught 12' below a bobber now.

I went out today and couldn't get on any kind of pattern. I hit Blue Creek and Spencer creek as well as a couple other areas. I caught 2 keepers in brush piles about 10' - 12'. It seem slike the month of March is always the toughest...the fish are kind of in transition on Oologah.

I went out yesterday from about 9-3:30. Fished my normal haunts, very slow day as I only caught about 8 dinks with no keepers. Lake has dropped over 2' since my last trip out. I never ventured into the creek or fished the standing timber. All hits came around 8' deep. Didn't see the amount of fish on the graph I had been seeing. Surface temp was around 52 with the water more stained than normal. I may or may not try it again today. I'm sure if I would have gone on the hunt, I could have eventually found some holding on brush. Most the brush I normally fish wasn't holding anything to brag about.

    Default Oologah 3-23-11& 3-30-11

Sorry this is late, I thought I posted it. I went out last Wed. from 12-3 and caught 16 keepers. 9 really nice fish over 12 inches and 7 between 10-12 inches. They were in brush in 8-12 fow. The best colors were cajun cricket and black/pink.

I went today from 830 to 230 and managed to keep 8. 6 nice ones over 12 inches and 2 11 inch fish. Caught all of them before noon and didn't get a bite from 1130 to 230. Same pattern brush 8-12 feet, cajun cricket and black/pink.
