Good stuff.
Last Saturday's trip. These are 20 and 50 that I brought home. 10-13 inch. We had about 82-84. Donated some for a fish fry on the shore with TC and a few others. Jerky, Odie and WSD helped catch these. Fun day up there. First trip out and loved it up there.

The fishing has been tough for those of us who aren't very familiar with slow trolling. There aren't many fish in the brush. The best reports have been from people who have slow trolled right in the "carpet shad" (the term Crappie Ciller uses). They aren't very deep either, which is strange for this time of the year. Crappie Ciller and I spent all day Thursday freezing our rears off, for very little success. Good thing I had great company out there, otherwise it would have been a real bust. Thanks to some of our Crappie.com friends for sharing tips about slow trolling for the suspended crappie. Looking forward to trying that the next time out. Attached is a good view of one of my favorite new spots in Blue Creek. That's the way I like to see them!Attachment 228310
Gotta credit Fishers for the term- carpet shad- perfect description for what we are seeing all over Oologah etc.. I gave pushing jigs or slow trolling 4 hours of my life yesterday. No Bueno for me so there is a learning curve for dummies.
Nice day on the lake today. Bite wasn't on fire early but got better later in the afternoon. Found one spot that was holding good numbers. Fished brush in 14 to 17 ft. Seemed like 12 ft was the depth they wanted to bite at today. Double dipped hair and feather jigs all day. Had to leave at 3:00 with the fish biting to get home for something else planned. Brought home 24 from 10 to 13" and all the fish looked nice, fat and healthy. Sure was nice to have the lake back down to normal level again. Got a chance to talk to WSD out on the water today and I think he did pretty good too.

Nice school Whisperer!!
Fishing report: Lake Oolagah Oklahoma. water temp 43, Air Temp 38. Barometer 30.28. Clarity Stained. Wind 10 mph. Fished 12-13 ft natural bank with lots wood/pea gravel. Fished 3 hours caught 20 . Bait Style: Mo Magic Color: Allen's Smoke and Haug Boss. Timmy Tom Weedless jigs. 4 boats around us did not catch a thing. 2 bank fishermen had 3 drinks on minnows. The New bait feature was the difference! After April 4th I will announce what was different about this bait as I want to do more field testing between now and then. Crappiepapa, knock them into next week with his hook set. Ranger has nothing on him when it comes to hook set! :cheers2

Great job Frank and Allen! There's a lot of fish being caught due to my recently acquired Crappie Consultant tag as dubbed by Danny. The list is growing.
I need MO Magic! Seriously tho, I really do. The two packs I bought have lasted a year and I am finally down to the last one. That thing in Haug Boss has caught at ton of fish for me, its probably my favorite bait for 8-16 inch visibility water. That purple gradually wears down to a grey after about 40 fish, but the plastic doesn't fall apart! The flat tail undulating in front of their noses just does them slabs in, they cant stand it.
