they had hit the bank a week ago before the last cold front. Many reports from both end and mid lake areas of males being caught in 6" of water. Females holding at 3' to 5'. But that was a week ago when water temps were in the mid to upper 60's in the coves and creeks. We caught several that had spawning damage on their bodies such as cuts, tails all busted up or mostly gone, and lots of abrasion marks. Water Temps had fallen back into the mid 50's after the front but will soon warm back up with upcoming warm temps. When that happens the commentment will again happen.......Ranger

hey the family and I are planning to hit Eufaula lake for some crappie fishing all day long tomorrow. does anyone have any pointers on where to fish at to get into some good crappie? We have been fishing lake Claremore and oolagah for the last month and have not had very good luck at all. Last weekend we went to Claremore lake and fished for 15 hours and only caught two crappie the whole time. if anyone could please help us out that would be great. We are starting to get depressed with not having any luck. we have no boat, just bank fishing.

Go to Bug Tussle area....fish in or around the culverts or the timber

I'm thinking I'm going to try Graves creek way up north in the creek. As shallow as that water is it should be plenty warm.

I'll be in Indianola next weekend is there a place a couple guys could get into the sandies or crappie from the bank. Not real familiar with that part I've always fished the 40 bridge and north.

Fished crowder from the bank this morning with my father in law again. Lots of people fishing all around that area. We caught about 20 or so between 6:30-8:30. Mostly pretty small ones but a few decent. nothing to brag about though. Real close to the bank, fishing between 4ft deep to 6". Only 2 were caught on minnows, the rest on jigs. Black/pink slab slayers were the most productive, but we also caught some on black/chart slab slayers and a couple on brownish/chart beavertails.

Fishing report today. People catching fish from shore around Crowder. Real early bite. The boats moved in and the fished moved out. I fished around Bugtussle..wade fishing and fly fishing. Got in the water about 10:00 and got about 12 a little bigger than your hand all males. Bite shut off about noon. Had my thinga-ma-bobber set at about 12" above the fly.

Forgot to mention the water temp at 10:00 measured at 65 F when I got out about 1:30 pm assumed around 70 F. Felt allot warmer

Fished the South End today with clients Keith and McKensie aka MudCat Kirk from Bixby and we cleaned 49. We caught well over 80 today but only keeping quality fish. Biggest today were a pair of twins at 2.01lbs. Technique was double dipping jigs around and over wood in 5' to 9' early with the WT at 60 degrees. As soon as the temps hit 64 they moved shallow. Was a beautiful day and sharing it with some really good people......Ranger
