Sorry to disappoint.
Fished Mon from 1 to 5:30 pm. Turned out to be a scouting trip due to the fact that all my winter piles are 35-50 feet deep this year. I dont know if they will hold fish at all this winter. They sure weren't that deep on this trip. After a bit of searching, found fish in some new areas for me. They were on ledges and shorelines near deep water at 18-27 feet deep. I need to spend a day dropping new piles that will be out of the north wind. The fish I caught in the new areas were all quality fish for Skiatook, 11-13 inches, willing to bite and fat. I think they had a good feeding this year, lots more shad around.
Nice report Fishers!! Need help building piles you know my number!! It will be interesting to see if the fish get on those deep piles this winter. We catch a lot of times at 40-45 in the winter so it is possible.
Hey Fishers, holler at me(I Hope you still have my number) and I can help dump some brush in Skiatook. A Sand Springs buddy and I fished Skiatook last fall and caught some nice hybrids. Those are fun.
Call me Call me! Seriously, can you account for the good shad population due to the amount of this years rain fall and the lake coming back up?
Glad to hear your still interested Merle. After that trip you took with me to Skiatook when it rained a couple of inches on us, I wasn't quite sure you wanted back in the boat. (He asked me after we got back to the ramp after negotiating the trees on the channel, "I dont know how you could see with all that rain." I didn't have the heart to tell him that I couldn't see it any better than him!)
Fishers, I didn't receive a pic on my phone of said buck!! Hurry curious minds want to see!!!!!! Glad you got your buck, nice to get back to fishing.
