dstreet, if you and ledge when out from a couple hours and no fish in the boat. No need me driving all the way to Kaw - unless I bring Redge .......... LOL
Thanks Tim. Will give that a try. I went back out last night and tried riggin. Only two crappie and two blues.
Wow a report like that from Dstreet and Ledge, I might have to get some rubber fish to bring!! LOL
Dstreet and I fished a couple hours before the storms ran us off. We fished flooded brush in 7-12 ft and never got a bite. Not one. The wind limited where we could fish, but still was able to fish some good looking stuff. The just hatched shad fry are everywhere. By the millions.
Glad to hear the shad reproduction is good. I need to find some adults.
Talked to one of the coon creek gate attendants at Kaw One Stop yesterday evening he said they moved to Washunga Bay and if the lake doesn't continue to rise, Washunga should be open by the end of this week. He also said Coon Creek was closed for the rest of the year.
They had a few camp sites open at Osage cove as well. Drove out to the dam today. Lots of spoonbill getting caught.
All ramps are open on Kaw now. Lake levels are about 9' over normal.
Think Washunga Just opened today, Coon and Sarge still closed to my knowledge,, Mom and I went out this am, fished some wood around pioneer and then went to Washunga and ended up catching a few keeper crappie and several throwbacks, best luck we had was around bridge piers, fishing jigs at 10 to 12. tried several other piles but with the amount of water there pulling for millit planting, the thermocline is Jacked up!!!!!! Good Luck fellas.
