I fished Gibson yesterday further north than you did. I could only catch SMALL crappie and black bass. Where have the crappie over 10" gone? I have fished Gibson for 35 years and the quality of fish have gone way down over the years. Think god for changing the size limit to 10" and limit from 37 to 15 fish other wise who knows how bad Ft Gibson fishing would be today. I do not believe anyone should take 37 fish per day, much less those 6" to 9" fish out of any lake. Know one should be that hungry this day and time.

Day 2 with Ronda and Steve on Gibson. Again we were greeted with strong south winds but were able to adapt and overcome the conditions. We ended with a 3 man limit at 3pm. Fish are still in the 8'-12' range with a wt of 70 today. Cast n Drag technique using 6lb hi vis mono, 3/32 Timmy Toms Weedless Jig, and Crazy Angler Slab Bandit in salt n pepper color. Had a 5/1 catch ratio with this color today. Great Day With Some Awesome Folks.......Ranger

It makes a difference going with you Mark. Even after you told Zeke and I where and how to catch em we still only managed 5 keepers for the day- and we stayed on the water til 4. Thanks for trying to help the helpless Ranger! It was a heck of a day for birdwatchers tho as we fished with thousands of huge white Pelicans, gulls, terns, coots, grebes and even more #¥*|£<€ cormorants!

Always a Pleasure talking with you George while on the water. It's a shame we were so far apart or I would of marked some stuff for you to fish. Next time buddy you will wack em my friend. Glad to see Zek out fishing with the old man. I know it's tough on all the boys being so far away from mom and dad for so long. Talk Soon My Friend......Ranger

Fished the last 2 days on Ft Gibson with Mark and Brian from the Tulsa Area and Scott, Zach, and Dillan from OKC. Both days we cast n dragged wood and rock with 6' High Standard Carbon Fiber Rods, 6lb Hi Vis Mono, 3/32oz Timmy Toms Weedless Jigs, Crazy Angler Slab Bandits and Fle Fly Crappie Kickers in Pearl, Pearl/Truse, and Salt n Pepper colors. Both days were either with a front coming, high skies, and with North winds on the first day or a front overhead with rain and east winds. Made for a tough bite but were able to adapt and overcome the tough conditions. Ended our trips with 27 the 1st day and 32 on the 2nd day........Ranger

Back on Gibson main lake today with Dan and James Sharp from Kansas City. With fog and rain at times made for a tough bite. Fish have moved deeper with falling water temps from this weekends rain and cloudy skies. 14' to 22' was the magic depths today which we ended the day early for their drive home with 31 keepers. Crazy Angler Slab Bandits and Fle Fly Crappie Kickers in Pearl and Salt n Pepper with a 3/32oz Timmy Toms Weedless Jig was the ticket........Ranger Attachment 218510Attachment 218511Attachment 218512
