Can't believe I let dad talk me out of going to tenkiller today. He said the weather was calling for strong winds today? My phone showed 6-10 mph winds, should've went with that. That's my luck though!!! We did go to the long town area today, only managed one bite and it was a sandbass.

Bowman I don't know how far up Longtown you went but I was told go way up above the trees in the creek and find the deep holes. I was also told they are catching some nice fish up there in the deeper holes.....Ranger
Ranger, we just went to the start of the trees. I'm not too familiar with that area yet just know that me and my girl caught a few off the trees last year. Really wanted to go to tenkiller but after that was shot down, just tried to get out on the water.
I live in Tahlequah and seldom fish tenkiller for crappie. Mostly Eufaula. Just never understood the lake because of the clearity and the depth. I just might try fishing it in a week or so. Never fished in the wintertime, so if anyone has any pointers I'll take them.
So much for me fishing for a little while, doc says I've got the flu😷😷. Guess I must've posted a little to close to ranger in the past week or so?? It's all your fault ranger, hope you're feeling better now that you gave it to me😂😂

I've had a flu shot ever year for over 20 years. I've had the flu zero times in 20 years.
So have I Floyd. I didn't have the flu as per the Dr.. I have an additional problem and that is my wife is a school teacher and brings home all sort of stuff no one else wants including me. Along with caring for 3 of my 5 Gr'Daughters every day after school I usually end up with one or two of the things no one else wants......LOL......oh well that's life and I like mine and very BLESSED......Ranger
Fished Tenkiller today, found plenty of fish, most 10" to 12" but a couple of real nice ones. Biggest was right at 2 lbs. Best places to fish were standing timber in 43 to 50 FOW, fish were 25' to 28' deep tight to the wood. But I found them as shallow as 28 FOW also, as long as it had wood. Used BG minnow minders in green/black and firefly on 1/4 ounce jigs. Kind of limited myself by not gassing up the boat, made it thru the day with an 1/8 of a tank to start nonono . Its Redges fault, I got to talking with him and forgot to fill up. Just kidding Redge, thanks for the pointers, it really helped get on the fish in a hurry.
