I'm going out tomorrow morning. I'll be in a white Tracker Pro-17 deep V.
If I actually catch something I may go back Sunday.

First time this year, any pointers?

Lake came up a foot and a half from 1230 to 430.Creeks are super muddy but we still caught fish.Thursday was off the hook,around 300 plus fish with an average of 10 inch and had 20 or so that went over a pound.Cast and reeling a 16 oz jig 7 foot deep and jig and cork 18 inches .Dont be scared of the mud just slow down.Jigs are way better than minnows.Two other boats were right next to us fishing minnows. and we were catching 4 to 1.Friday was alot slower but good size blacks around 10 to 12 inches on jig and cork about 2 foot deep.

I was all over the lake but only tried in the coves not on the main lake.

Tbone, thanks for the info. I figured Thursday was going to be good. Weather and water we stable for a few days. I was going to start with jigs but a friend of mine wants to get some minnows, so I'll have both.
