2 crappie and 20+ dink gills. Bite was strait garbage. Tried tons of baits and presentations only thing that worked was an orange 80th jig & 1 inch black Shad gulp. 2.5ft deep in 5 fow.

Well if it makes you feel better, I couldn't get a bite on anything today. Did try everything I brought and not knowing the area here I was trying to fish didn't help. Now I'm ordering pizza and heading back to the water park. Hopefully everyone wants to leave tonight, but that probably won't happen. Guess I'll stop and pick up some more fisherman oil.

do you fish that jig under a slip bobber?
No I use a fixed float always when working jigs. I prefer the small glow bobs the plugged weighted kind. Attachment 296979But sometimes I’ll use other styles of fixed floats till I find a presentation the fish want. In my opinion some days float style matters.
