I need to fish with you....my guide (EFslabs) only took me to fished out waters. We must have been fishing behind you.
Are you guys sure that was EF? Water color isn't right, it looks like Paint Creek to me.

Good job with the net Y-Slabs...you da man!

Max- not paint. Tired of this weather so we decided to take a weekend trip to JPP in tn. Got there to fish all FITB, waypoints and they were on dry land(coe lake) so we went on down to Normandy. freeze warning both nights , fished two afternoons in the wind and grubbed up around 15 good fish like these the boy had a good time- I got to be the guide and net man. LOL

I'm with you on this weather. I was trying to think of somewhere 4-5 hours south that would be better but everything was blown out from the rain.
Besides the fact that those are some huge blacks and they definitely are starting to show their colors, the back ground just didn't look right for EF.
Now if those were 8" white crappies I would have figured you were fishing in my spot.
Glad to see you guys could get out where the monsters live and thanks for posting. I love to see those big-uns.

But it was a bad trip turned good with them 3 big ole slabs for me! I was mad when we pulled up to the boat ramp at JPP and there was NO water........ But we made the best of it and had an all around okay trip! Normandy is a huge lake and we just fished it like we do everything else didn't catch a ton of fish but ya only need one big one to make it worth while!

Agree!! When my uncle and I fish in Georgia the fish quality is so much better you don't have to catch very many to be happy...... I'll never forget my first trip there I had 4lb test on and I was snapping off when I jerked..... Fish are just much bigger there. Love it.
