In Ohio it's just 2 rods per person.

East Fork has tons of timber; was not clear cut like some other Ohio lakes. Long line trolling near bottom can cause lots of reties....

I heard there was a petition last year in Ohio, to change the pole limit to 3, guess that didnt fly, but I would sure be for it at least on the days when the crappie have lock jaw.

I agree with that. I am not a big trolling guy myself. I am just installing my first rod holders on my boat this year. But in the past, I have done some of it at EF - mainly summer into fall. I typically hold a rod in each hand. But if I was allowed, I think I'd try 3, maybe 4 rods at a time for those tough days.

I question the wisdom of limiting it to 2 rods. After all, KY doesn't have such restrictions and look at the crappie fishing on some of those lakes. I still don't know how those guys manage 6-8 rods at a time. That would drive me nuts I think.
