Made it back up to the lake today. It was not as muddy as I expected. Water temp was about 57 degrees. Everything looked good to be catching fish. I. Sure many of you probably had good luck. I struck out again though. Hopefully next time.

My son wanted to go fishing Saturday , he was on spring break all week and didn't get to fish until Saturday ....... We went to RF...... Spent a little time playing with the new electronics ...... Fished until about 12:30pm ....... Was a tough bite..... We could only get them to go on one main lake spot in about 10 fow .......swimming a jig / 32nd head real S-L-O-W.....no big ones , but scratched out a decent bag of keepers ...... Tossed em all back ( haven't kept anything since Weiss lake trip ) ....... Don't get discouraged, it was a tough bite
Thanks james. I'm glad to hear you and your son did manage to get on the water and catch a few. My son was telling me he thinks there is no fish in the lake and I keep telling him that daddy just hasn't figured out how to catch them yet lol. Going to try a different lake out next weekend hopefully we can get some in the boat then.
I fished the docks for crappie Friday and Saturday. Caught keepers both days but did not keep any. Water was clearing up good where I was. I was catching them on BG, monkey milk. It has been a killer for me all winter on those docks when water is fairly clear. I used it ice fishing all over that area and several days had 15 or more good size fish not counting smaller ones. I have still been getting them deep, 20' bite is slow but Saturday caught 20-30 fish but only had 8-10 over 9"
Nice reports guys.
Keep them coming.
