    Default Clark lake crappie

Anyone got the skinny on the crappie at Clark? I only found out about the lake last winter when I heard about the trout stocking. I have only been there a couple of times.

Clark Lake, Use to be a wonderful 100 acre, electric only lake....Very poorly designed, so the State would dredge it every few years, to keep it from filling in with sediment. It was a very nice State Park, they use to groom the Island "Piers" and shoreline for the fishermen!
A few years back, the State changed it to a WILDLIFE AREA, this designation allows the lake to fill in and for everything to overgrow...now they do not have to take care of it or spend money on it....It has not been dredged for MANY years and is now 2 feet deep in most areas, it has a few 5-6ft "holes", but it is in a very precarious position!
It is a shame because in my childhood, this use to be a wonderful fishing lake! Many fond memories since it was my Grandmothers favorite lake to fish!
I no longer fish it anymore because I do not feel safe eating the fish that are left! JMHO.

This is how Ohio treats her waterways....most are blooming every summer and it's getting to the point where you seriously have to be careful where you take fish to eat.
Ohio is a joke compared to other States and their lakes etc.
