Save some for me!
Now that my barn is completed I'm hoping to get on CJ before the ice locks it down, been a rough 4 months working and all this other stuff has really bit into my fishing time, Daniel and I have been to the Ohio River two times and have only got one fish for our efforts hope I haven't lost the touch.........Doc
I'm praying for no ice this year...and 70's throughout the Winter!:)
DON'T FORGET TO VOTE THIS TUESDAY... YES, YOUR VOTE DOES COUNT....
ROTS OF RUCK ON THE 70'S
CJP
Looks like this afternoon might be the last time out this season, anyone heading out?
Jab
ALL the fish at CJ will continue to hit a moving lure until the water temp hits the 30's....then, when it hits 39 and if the lake is open, you must find a way to use a bobber or vertical fish the MAIN LAKE!
Walleye will continue to take a swimbait throughout the Winter if the water is not frozen!
There are also WARM pockets of water at CJ, if you find them, you'll have fun!:)
I fished ALOT through the Winter 2 years ago...some days were cold but sunny and you could stay warm...I was able to catch enough fish to make it worth my while and fight the Winter "Fishing Fever"!
Last year was Bad...I couldn't get out to fish at all...CJ, at one point had 17 inches of ice on her in certain areas....VERY DEPRESSING FOR ME!
(But GOOD news for we the ice fishermen !)
Got out yesterday, probably the last time with the boat this year. Water temps 48-49 deg. I caught a couple dz crappie and several white bass, all on Keitech (sexy shad easy shiner) … nothing over 10” …
