Ok, I found the thread and now the it's getting cold crops getting ready to come in I'm thinking about winterizing my boat. :(
Hope to be out at least one more rime on Mother CJ (windy today) as it's the only lake I been skunked on for several years.Brent, morning breakfast sounds good just need time and place!
Since this is Breast Cancer Month...maybe this is appropriate for fishermen and women who are in the sun alot.
Looks like I'll be off for alot longer than first thought....this surgery didn't go as well as planned.
He had alot more work that needed done....pics are not for the weak....the first 3 are from today, the last 3 were from earlier and what It looked like after the basil cell cancer was removed.
ALWAYS Remember.....have any growth, wart, moles, or areas of funny looking skin checked, skin cancer is survivable if you catch it quick....Even though I was lucky and saved my eye, I waited too long to get it checked..the 4 surgeries to make it look as normal as possible....sucked!
For those that don't know.....I was the poster boy for procrastination.
I had a mole in the corner of my eye that started growing....it started bothering me...it didn't know that it was growing on the inside of my lid and cheek....it was growing so fast, both Dr's said if I had waited another month or two and I would have lost my eye....then it could even have been worse.
Jeff (SocDad) had a growth on his cheek that was found and taken off, Jeff (Crazy4Smallmouth) had a non cancerous one. Three of my friends from work had cancerous growths removed....and now my mother.
Please get a check up.
Good fishing to all
Brent
Oh my eyes....My wife had some removed from her nose last week....gets stitches out tomorrow.....she is a lot better looking than you so its not that bad lol Seriously, glad you got it taken care of.
Brent,Some may get half sick from looking at your pics but if it gets them to check them self's for spots great! I had a few burnt off my ears several years ago that were precancerous so I wear a desert type hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.Take care of your self as your son needs someone to laugh at while fishing !Keep us updated,Paul
Got up this morning and looked like a Cyclops, took a HOT shower to get my eye open enough to see through a slit....turned on the news and got Dale ready for school...the weather people were all saying that we were only going to have hit and miss sprinkles throughout the day with accumulations of 1-2 tenths....figured there was no sense sitting around, so I decided to try out CJ. Figured since it was going to be dreary all day the Gators would come out and play!
Got to the lake about 8:45....IT RAINED FOR THE NEXT 3 HOURS SOLID!
I was soaked but did manage 5 Crappie on EC in the deep water....Man, they were cold....went to the Gator Den and nothing...lake is down about 2 ft and water was rolling out...fish were not really biting anywhere!
Oh well, I'll be back out tomorrow...Gator Hunting!
You need to tighten up lol
