Yeah the heat is a killer.
Our oaks are just now starting to drop out there and it will pick up over the next few weeks. Most are red oaks.
Only saw one flash of a deer but I did see a red fox.
I won't hunt my favorite stand until the end of Oct.
I'll be glad when this vegetation is gone.
Doing a little lurking on the website and haven't been on here for a while. But seen a hunting thread and said why not. Hunting has been relatively slow so far in KY but deer season and duck season is getting ready to get cranked up. This weekend is the youth deer hunt in KY and the little man is going to lay them down.
Good to see the post FA. Let us know how it goes and pics would be nice if you guys are successful. It's does only in Ohio this weekend.

I've been out 1 morning each weekend just looking. Mostly saw a few small skin heads but had a couple of small pushing each other around the weekend of the doe only ML season.
The temps are dropping nicely it should be "game on" real soon.
Went out last night before class seen a couple scrapes and ended up seeing 4 big does no bucks but it won't be long!
With the weather cooling and being that time of year we are starting to get some increased movement. I'm passing up small deer on most trips out but my hunting time has been limited. I had a 9 point at 15 yards last Sat morning but we're getting much larger deer than him on our cameras but the movement is at night. I'll be hunting Sat through Monday this weekend, it should be good.

Great deer. We just started seeing increase activity last weekend. It's all about the does right now.
