I imagine it will be in the 2013 fishing regulation this spring. I'd be surprised if it didn't pass.
I would think it was pretty much a done deal when they announced the survey. I think the survey was more of a formality than anything else. It's been a success on other lakes.

I think the fishing guides are out already but I forgot to pick one up and check.

I checked the DNR site--no mention of Cowan as one of the exception lakes on the web site yet.

I havent heard anything yet. All I know is the chief of the watercraft was sounding real positive about it, but they still need people to email them with their opinons.
