Patoka lake help

I'm headed to Patoka lake and have never been there. Any of you locals been there? I need some ideas on where to fish on the lake. Only thing I have seen is painters creek, where they are pulling crank baits. Any help is greatly appreciated.

great time of year to pull cranks......maybe go to the indy section and search the old post.....never been there but sounds like a nice place....

Fish Upstream from Walls towards Kings Bridge. A lot of water to cover but you will find good fish between the two ramps, swim jigs along the standing timber. good luck,

I haven't been on the lake much lately. Patoka for me has been kind of hit and miss this year. There are some fish to be caught but the size has been a disappointment. If you are looking for small fish I imagine you could find a boat load. It was in the mid 90's here today with a heat index of approx 115. I would guess that the water temp is approacking the 90 degree mark. Pulling cranks was a good producer earlier in the year when the water was really high and you could troll over the submerged vegetation. There was a lot of chatter on the board then about all the fish that were being caught trolling, but I haven't seen many post lately. You might try trolling along some of the channels next to a flat.
