    Default C.J. Brown Yesterday

We went for about six hours. I will NEVER again go there again by my choice. Caught four crappie, one channel and one perch. Towed a broken down pontoon back to the launch and refused to take any money for it like any honest person would, and an hour later had my good deed repaid by almost being thrown out of the boat by jetskiers and tubers comeing within 50 feet of us while we were dead in the water drifting. I've fished Indian several times, Loramie ALOT, Ceasars a few times, and a couple lakes in Michigan many many times and have never seen as many inconsiderate and flat out crazy/rude ppl combined as there are at C.J.

Buckeye Musky, yes there are quite a few "weekend IDIOTS" that seem to infest CJ. Before you give up on CJ, do me a favor, go to Ohio Game Fishing> Regional Fishing Reports> Sw Ohio> CJ Brown Water Temps> post #2208 by the Intimidator. Personally know him, if anything, his post is likely understated. As far as the "go faster water idiots' it`s the height of summer, we`ll just have to put up with them till about the weekend after Labor Day...but after reading that post, you might want to reconsider perhaps fishing the lake at night...

Understand what you're talking bout but can't agree that CJ's any worse than any other lake. Can't tell you how many times I've had skieers and pontooners come close enough to me while trolling that they cut my lines behind my boat. And then they look at you like they don't understand why you're standing up in your boat waving your fist at them. Some of them are just plain ignorant of what they're causing and some don't care. Either way... the way to fish CJ is get out early in the morning and get off the water when you hear the skieers starting up. Its such a small reserviour that a boat at the north end of the lake skeeing affects the fishermen at the south end of the lake. Waddya going to do?

I agree EE, most of society is just plain rude and inconsiderate....anywhere...everyone is trying to "Get Theirs"! The only thing you can do personally is lead by example and try your best! I am normally out at CJ around 5:00am on the weekends and leave around 11:00am, getting out that early allows me to get some good fishing in and enjoy the piece and quiet. You'll find that most of the idiots sleep in until noon!

I quite agree Brent. I also like to do the early morning fish /off the water by noon on the summer weekends. When the idiots start hitting the MBR, I'm normally pulling my boat out.

Rocky fork was full of inconsiderate/rude ppl this spring. Fished that lake many years and have never seen it so bad. The fisherman would stand back like vultures and once they saw you catching nice fish it was like a free beer party at ur boat. The pleasure boaters would come closer then 50 feet and wave at me, I waved back with 4 missing fingers. Its everywhere not just at CJ, I had a few days this year like ur experience but overall the good outweighed the bad. Like others said, do not give up on CJ because of the clowns just adjust the timing being out on the lake. I love the rainey days at Rocky.

As have said, prefere getting out there an hr before dark and fishing at night on CJ; no jetski 'idiots' and the WHOLE lake is SUPPOSED to be a "no wake zone' after dark, but there are always the "few" whom feel the rules apply to "everyone else"...so it goes...

Due to the weather this year, I have also fished more in bad weather than ever before...rain, wind, high water, cold, and cloudy....and I have probably caught more fish this year than ever before....the best part is that the fish don't stop biting in bad weather AND you have the lake to yourself! Now, I look forward to rainy, windy, and cloudy days!!LOL
