Thread: Virginia here I come!..... sort of.

I will be coming back to the area so save some fish for me! Sure wish I could get to the NWR bash this year but that's not going to happen. Navy says I'll be headed to Va in mid June or so. I have a lot of unfinished business with fishes up there. Never even had the new boat to Kerr so that's going to happen also. I am excited though I'll be headed back to a ship which means in and out, but when I'm in it'll be on! Hope you all are having a good New Year and if not there is no place better to start having one than at the NWR Bash.

It's a shame someone hasn't taken over Davis Landing and done something with it. Is there even an active boat landing anywhere on Back Bay any more?

The campground has boat landing but only for guest, north shore
Horn pt for kayaks only, crazy place only room for like 4 cars the boat landing is sanded in there is really no kayak launch except for just over the rocks or down into the mud.

Thanks all. I am excited to fish brackish water again. Boscoe, that news of having a place to put the big boat in is just what I needed. As Tap insinuated I love Blackwater Creek. The big boat wont get under the bridge some days but I know every inch of that place. Only problem I ever had was with the ramp at the trading post. putting in at West Neck was not the best for where I was trying to go either. Though I pulled plenty of Crappie out of there also.
