Got my 1st Elk with a bow!

Sika elk that is. Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge has these little elk and they want them gone so they issue special permits to hunt them. 44 lb stag is actually a big one. Most of the ones I saw tagged in were in the 20-25 lb range. What a beautiful place. No naked hunting, they will give you a ticket. See the sign.
