    Default batteries?

How can I charge my 24 volt trolling batteries off of my 12 starting battery while going across the water??

Curious as to why there would be a need to? My two trolling batteries are topped off before the boat goes is in the water. Then what ever run time charges my cranking battery (electronics) while my trolling batteries lay idle. Not trying to be difficult here, but how long are your trolling batteries lasting you and what kind of fishing are you doing?

They are full when I get to the lake. but if I long line for 7-8 hours they will not charge all the way back up that night before the next morning of fishing.

Need a bigger onboard charger Noco Genius 30amp, 10 amps per 3 banks get you back going overnight. If your batteries won't hold charge then of course that's bad batteries.

Get a new charger. You should be able to charge 2 batteries in 8-10 hours. You might could run some wires from cranking battery to trolling batteries and that will recharge them while your going across lake. I would go with new charger.

you need to change your batteries !!! if you are trolling that many hours you need to go to a Group 31 battery or minimum Group 29s !!!
