From my Office. I’m definitely a Lowrance guy, but these days nobody has the very best of ALL technology. Both Lowrance AND Humminbird have their pluses and minuses. I decided to go both ways on my new Ranger Z521L Pro Staff boat.
3-Lowrance HDS Carbon 12s with Structure Scan and networked both Ethernet and NMEA 2000. Waiting on a Cornfield Crappie Custom bracket to mount the 3rd Lowrance unit at the dash.
2-Humminbird Solix 12s one Mega SI and networked both Ethernet and NMEA 2000 with a Solix 12 GPS/Chirp up front.
1-Point 1 NMEA 2000 Lowrance Heading Sensor.
1-Bird Heading Sensor
1-Minn Kota 112 Ultrex Link
1-360 unit on TM. (Will be here today or Monday)
1-Precision Sonar double Dash Mount.
1-Cornfield Crappie Gear double stack mount on the front.

The custom bracket coming will let me mount both Lowrance Carbon 12’s back on the dash side by side and the 12 Solix will be on the custom bracket. That way I can run the Lowrance side imaging showing the left view on the port unit and the right view on the starboard unit. I’ll have Lakemaster Maps, Navionics Maps, and Lowrance Insight Maps all at the dash and up front. The Lowrance Carbons can show both the Navionics AND the Insight Maps on the same unit at the same time, or I can run one version on each unit. Depends on what I’m wanting to see. The new Lowrance DI Fish Reveal will be nice also. It’s in their latest update. Can’t wait for their Fish Reveal to be available on their SI also.

Another nice thing about the Lowrance Carbons is that they are Blue-toothed to my Power Poles so I can control both poles either individually or simultaneously directly from the Carbons without the key fob. The Birds can’t do that.
