My luck I would forget it was on and rock the boat while climbing in to check on the minnows and wake the whole campground up at 2am.

Mine stay on unless I'm traveling a long distance or stopping where I can't see the boat. WalMart parking lots scare the crap out of me. Wiskers here got hit at a bait shop while waiting to get minnows. Several thousand $$ drove off.

Speaking of insurance, KY Farm Bureau has to have a multi-floor building with my name on it for as much as we pay for home and business insurance. I have to have a rider on my taxidermy studio for my freezer contents. That is a killer!!

As a guide, I have to have a specialty policy like tournament fishermen have. Every bit of my gear has itemized coverage. Major pain!!

Take mine off. Don't want to chance something flying up off the highway and damaging or taking unit out. Too much money invested to gamble. Theives also are a concern as I travel through the hood.

The price is cheaper, but I know who will stroke the check when something goes wrong pretty dang quick..... and it ain’t progressive. FB coverage on my boat was cheaper, until I added $2000 in Rods and tackle, $3500 graphs and $2500 TM. Scheduled equipment gets ya. But if you pay the premium, and have a VALID claim, it’s generally pretty painless.

Never filed a progressive claim, and hope I never have to. Have heard both good and bad on em.

Who do you have your guide policy through. Guessing it’s just a GL? Been trying to find some options for an insured. You can send via pm so we don’t hijack thread
