    No clue, it gets hotter with a cast iron lid than a dish pan. A thick clay pot is warmer than a thin one. A bigger bulb gives off more heat if needed. Energy bulbs won't do. It gets warm enough for me.

    Never lube a light bulb. If you're thinking Why? Try it, you'll find out. It will fry the lube between the bulb base and socket, almost like glue.
    Nothing in the flowerpot but the bulb and socket.
    It's the only heat on in the house now, it's 65, outside 50.
