I don't like antibiotics, they mess up my intestinal tract. I had a sinus infection following a bad cold most of December but just tried to get some humidity in the house and lots of rest. It went away about a week ago. Sinus infections our serious and should be carefully monitored. Complications include spreading of the infection to the brain and teeth. For people like me who get them every year deciding when antibiotics are needed is complicated. The pain becomes intense spreading from the sinus to the teeth. To tell if it has become an abscessed tooth tap on the tooth if the pain remains the same the tooth is good. As for brain infections they are extremely rare.
A humidifier will do wonders, lowering the temp in the house will too. I don't have a humidifier so I put a pot of water on to boil for a couple of hours. Heaters are set at 60. I've replaced all sweeteners with honey. Haven't been to doctor since I retired.
Ok, I'll ask....what does using honey have to do with sinuses?
I am an ER nurse. I see this problem daily this time of year. Vaseline is what we tell em. And get a humidifier for your bedside.
They told my neighbor to quit burning wood for heat
