Thought I'd make me up a little cold weather food. 4 1/2 gallons of chicken and smoked sausage gumbo.
Found another smoked sausage I really like. It's called Country Pleasin, made in Florence Mississippi. I
used the original in the gumbo but they make several varieties. Cajun, green onion, cheese and jalapeņo, and
several others. Found it at the local Kroger's. I wish I lived closer to Louisiana, I could have some real
fix'ins in it. When I finished with the gumbo, I made me a pot of chili. The reason the chili is so red is
because I just poured a quart of home made tomato juice in it and I hadn't started cooking it yet. Bring on
the cold.
