I loved the looks and feel of the Gravely but I read several reviews that said as good as the independent suspension is about giving you a smooth ride it also means that many more moving parts and things to go wrong. And that is the reason I am getting a new mower. I currently have a 1991 Kubota Desiel tractor style mower. The engine is a beast but every year I have to have something worked on that cost $200-500(glow plugs, electrical, cylinoid).
Have a Z455 John Deere. Been mowing a couple of acres a week for ten years. Has almost 800 hours. Change oil, plug, filters annually. No problems yet. None.

I use a lawn service. 15 years, no troubles, no maintenance and still less than a new mower. I'd rather fish than mow. [emoji12][emoji23][emoji23]

Had a Toro Titan. Mowed 3 acres with it every week. Great mower.
My buddy has a Bad Boy mower. That thing is a beast. I don't think you can stop it except for one time mowing his lake levy. They don't work well going sideways on a strep incline.[emoji16]
Read all you want, listen to all your friends, and at the end of the day if you don't buy a Gravely, you are not the buying the best there is. I've been in the lawn maintenance industry for many years and I've ran 'em all. I have 6 Gravelys in my fleet now and don't plan on changing any time soon.

Hustler, hands down if you go bad boy Kawasaki liquid cooled is the only one I would recommend. I sold Toro Exmark, Gravely, Cub Cadet, bad boy to name a few hustler stayed in the field with less issues then any of them
