It will be along time before we will get to fish it again! The lake bottom is full of dead fish.

They have had it drawn down to work on the levee for couple of years. This weekend all of the sudden they pulled the plug and drained the whole lake. Didn't give any one time to get any of the fish out of it like they usually do. No public notice that I know of anyway! Trying to get this lake Levee repaired has been a disaster.

They have drawn it down three times that I know of since 2000 to repair the same spot in the levy and have not got it right yet.

Looks like they don't have any excuse for not fixing it right this time.
Man I hate that. I'd been fishing that out of a kayak 4-5 times last month and brought home crappie every time. I had no idea they were planning on completely draining it or I'd have fished it one last time.
Well look.at the Brite side you can go out and drag tops and build the heck out of some stake beds now and when they fill it back up you will have plenty of tops to jig fish
