My partner and I launched the boat with a long straight of docks on one side and a marina on the other before getting to open water. Most all the docks and the marina had signs "No Fishing". We flipped minnows under a float and caught a good many crappie along the way going and coming. We ended the 4 hour trip just shy of the limit for each of us. At the ramp we met a deputy. Tie your boat off and come with me, wouldn't let us trailer the boat. To court we go, fishing restricted waters. My partners was in state and had a $300 fine. I'm out of state with a $600 fine, cash. With deputy in tow we hit the local ATM machine, which allows $200 withdrawal per hour. Then home and check our accounts, both of our banks will cover 20% of the 39% the ATM machine charged.
Cane has the best stories. Pretty much the only reason I log in. :biggrin
canebreaker, I can find no law in MS that covers that... I think you were hoodwinked, by a local sheriff and judge...
I don't think he is talking about MS Clifford, cane likes to leave you pondering a bit, he left the clue that he had to pay more cause he was an out of stater.. :popcorn
I missed that part... Reckon he was over there messin with the Cajuns? I could see it happening there. Have a story about a made up hog law from my youth, and a big fine for shooting "someone's hog" out in the national forest...
We were at Pickwick on the TN side.
