    Default lake washington

was able to take my vacation last week. went up to washington on Wednesday with my jig poles hoping fish were still in the trees. caught lots of small fish with a keeper mixed in every now and then. most of the bigger fish are spawned out and have mostly moved to deeper water. i've had a pretty good spring and with my freezer full i didn't keep any fish but had a ball and the weather was unbeatable. yeah, mostly out in deeper water post spawn feeding on shad. Spider riggin in 9-12 fow shud be pretty good on all the lakes, I'd think. Still gonna be a late comer, but mostly spewed out by now. Although I have caught specks in late July still ripe with eggs and ready to spawn. Go figure. May be Mother Nature's way of insuring some spawn make it regardless of weather and water level; not all spawn in the same 3-5 week period. Jus a thought.
