I think she is ready
My wife came to me a while back and told me she wanted to get a concealed weapons license. Being a responsible gun owner I told her that she had to start coming to the range with me and practicing until she can prove to me that she can safely and accurate handle a handgun before we would start the paperwork for her license. I think she's ready now! That's her target on the left.

I'm worried that as my wife gets older her hand strength will get weaker, and can't rack the slide, so as of now she shoots a 5 shoot 357 smith revolver. She shoots it very well too....

Mine too. Ann prefers the revolver, she had a hard time pulling the slide. Bought her a nice Beretta many years ago, then I bought a revolver for her. She gets plenty of practice busting snakes around my place.Originally Posted by crappie cowboy

If it requires more than 6 shots you most likely need a grenade .I carry a smith 38 revolver way more than an auto . Simply because I have had it longer and shoot it better . Most likely because it has been my favorite for years . She's looking at the Glock 43 for carry or possibly the M&P Sheild. I've always said that it all comes down to what feels best in her hand. They are all good guns, and shoot more accurately that a person can. She was shooting her 9mm XD and my Kimber 1911 at the range.
