Lots of speculation that Humminbird will introduce 360 soon with their new Mega Imaging technology. That will take the 360 to a whole new level. I'm waiting on that plus curious to see their new flagship series units. The new mega imaging Helix units are very impressive. Lots of great screen shots on BBC Board in Humminbird thread.

Me to! I wasn't to crazy about it to start with but I bought one of the first ones out. I was running 98 series birds and it wasn't real clear. Things got much better with updates and newer units. I love it with my Onix units! The bad thing is it looks like everything is moving ahead fast. Technology is constantly changing. The rumor is that the Onix units are being dropped for a much nicer flagship model with mega Imaging and 360 will be upgraded also. Humminbird slipped up and listed a new transducer for the new flag ship model then quickly pulled it from their website since they have not announced all of their new models yet. Going to be interesting to see what else they announce.

There are a lot of upset folks that just bought Helix series. These units can not be upgraded to the mega Imaging version. I guess this is a way to keep folks buying the latest and greatest. Lol!

Yep been watching Jason Christie and other sponsored Garmin Elite team all this past year. They each had a boat load of the Garmin Panoptic?????????? I don't recall 1 Elite win from any Garmin team member!!!!

I'll get one bout 2022!!!!!! Then the price should be boutbright!!

It's called "Planned Obcelesencz". They now how to milk the cow. They probably COULD have made the now obsolete Helix compatible but that wouldn't be as profitable. I hope the new version has built on Ethernet terminals like the Onyx and older units instead of making you buy two extra cables called dongles to connect the Ethernet network.

I'm installing 3 Helix 9 SI's in two Excel 203 Bay Pro boats I'm delivering this week. One is going to the Corp of Engineers in Grenada. The other is going to a customer in Oxford.
