    Default Reliable chimney service?

Any of you guys have a favorite chimney sweep in the central MS area (Grenada)? My house has a gas insert in my fireplace, and I think I want to pull it out and go with real logs. I know there was a fire in the chimney years ago, and the old couple that owned the house before me decided to close the fireplace and installed the gas insert. There may be damage inside the flu. Gimme a name of somebody you trust. I really dont want to burn my house down!

Might call some of the older insurance agents in the area and see if they know of someone. It's a lost art and you don;t need a WANNABE () doing this kinda service!!!

Agreed. That is why I asked you geezers..... Figured yall have been around long enough that some of you remember when fire was a new technology! I don't want to just call anybody that has an advertisement on craigslist and says they do professional work.......Never know what you get that way.

Call Hilly Griffins office in Grenada, he's been around a while, like since dirt was invented and prolly remembers the first man made fire, he may be able to point you in the right direction. 226-3032

I've got to get someone to look/inspect and rebuild my oldest son's fireplace. The firebox is falling apart. The last fire had lots of smoke coming back into the house. The chimney on the outside is brick where you can see, wood siding on the roof side that's falling apart.

If you're in Southaven, call Coopertown's chimney sweep service. I've used them several times and they always are very professional and do a great job.
