    Has anyone ever heard of a Scheels Outfitters line counter reel?? I happened up on 8 of them in a pawn shop, threw the a lowball price, and took the gamble.

    Looks just like some diawas I have. Probably special order with their name imprinted. Probably pretty good reel.

    One of them doesn't seem seem to lock and lets line out. The reel handle turns frontwards and backwards. Any ideas?

    It has an anti reverse pawl in there. It sits on the main drive gear and ratchets as you torn it forward. Should fall down and lock gear from turning backward. Have to dis assemble right side plate to see it. Could just need some oil or could be out of place if someone has messed with it. Try to find out what diawa it is then look up diagram for it.

    Loosen the bottom screw on the side, mine do that if that screw is too tite
