Sorry to hear what happened. Most guys out fishing are pretty much honest people. I know their is always the 2% of the population who should be institutionalized, but for the most part, folks are honest. Always a good possibility the guy never knew it happened. Think about an old codger in his partners vehicle, which he is not accustomed to driving. It can happen. Again, sorry to hear about your bad luck, but don't let it get you down. Hope you can get it fixed without much trouble.

Bad deal! Hope it works out for you.

who ever hit it tore something up on their trailer cause they moved barry's trailer 3-4 feet and his is heavy double axle trailer. so they dang sure knew he hit it.
-
I'm sorry that happened to your rig.
The things that get me is very few parking lots at boat ramps were designed by fishermen. Most were designed by the folks at WalMart or most hospital parking lots where you have to park then crawl out a side window if you drive a full-sized truck or car. They try to maximize the number of parking spaces at the sacrifice of not being able to swing wide to allow the rig to go into the parking lane without having to make a dozen tries at it.
Still no excuse for hitting somebody's rig then hauling arse.

Grenada Landing has plenty of room if everyone parks as they should, probably the best set up I have used. Somebody made a mistake, it happens but they could just own it.
-
The problem with this deal is there is plenty of room to maneuver. No excuse to hit it and darn sure no excuse for a fellow fisherman to not leave a note. Hopefully they tore up more on their rig than Barry's.

Sad, sad, I am sorry for you. There is no excuse for leaving the accident, sounds more like a kid.
-
There is no telling who actually did it. I would almost think that "pride" would be a factor in a lot of people, and not leave a note.
Something tells me that they could find the hit and run rig this week with the nationals going on. Just have to put a little time into it.

To many boats at Grenada this week. Every parking lot. Could not even get into Lakeway the other day because folks were parking their rigs longwise while buying ice/minners/snacks..... Bout ready for the Grenada reputation to take a few hits. Never seen it as bad as it has been the last few years.
I am like John (Rees) on this issue. Enid is a better, safer bet for a local fisherman looking to have a nice peaceful day fishing.........

I had someone hit my truck while parked over at Butla and then just last time I went to Butla, Someone stole my jack I had inside the back of my blazer,,,,,I hate when people steal from me,,,We sure do pay a lot for licenses and parking permits these days for a lack of security... be nice if they'd set up parking lot cameras at least in case of car jacking or someone's truck getting stolen,,,,Just can't trust anyone, anywhere these days,,,
